  Handcrafted Tamo Eco-friendly women’s accessories. Artisans in southwest Colombia use Tamo plant fibers for their intricate artwork.  They harvest, strip leaves, clean, wash, dry, and spin fibers into yarn. Generations of artisans use this yarn to create products such as earrings, baskets, bags, hats, and shoes. Tamo fibers are durable and come in natural shades of white to brown. This process preserves cultural heritage and contributes to the local economy in Nariño. Artisans take pride in their work and see it as a way to connect with ancestors and maintain community traditions.
